【“数学界奥林匹克”再度来华？丘成桐：激励年轻学子 站上世界之巅】#2025全国两会#中国正全力推动本土人才发展，致力于吸引和培养教育与科技领域的顶尖人才。近日，菲尔兹奖得主、清华大学讲席教授丘成桐率领中国数学界发出倡议：申请在中国主办2030年国际数学家大会（ICM2030）。丘成桐教授表示，中国的年轻数学学子已经具备世界一流的水平，未来五年，将有大量顶尖人才脱颖而出。丘教授相信，如果中国能够主办2030年国际数学家大会，这场“数学界的奥林匹克”盛会将大大激励中国学生，鼓励他们走向世界舞台，引领全球数学研究的未来。As China's Two Sessions – a top yearly political event – is underway, China's seeking to pull out all the stops on homegrown talent development. Fields medalist Professor Shing-Tung Yau sees a rise in China's world-class math students, with many emerging in the next five years. Yau and his team are leading China's bid to host the 2030 International Congress of Mathematicians (ICM 2030), aiming to inspire young students to take the lead in global math research. He pointed out, unlike in Japan and the UK, many Chinese students have a passion for math, and the country's growing investment in basic science is paying off.
